Unfair Jousting Fair is Flying, Vying For Attention on Steam

Few things in life are as enjoyable as Renaissance Fair(e)s.

Few things in life are as enjoyable as Renaissance Fair(e)s. Questionable food, questionable people, questionable clothing, and enough alcohol to make it all a whole lot of fun. Unfair Jousting Fair brings one of the more ridiculous aspects of these fairs to couches everywhere: Jousting.

Unfair Jousting Fair , developed by Rodaja, puts players in control of a fair-goer that aims to win the joust against their buddy. Complicating matters is that the player is riding on a unicycle, and that the “lance” is a random object. Players can joust with such unlikely objects as a canoe oar and a rolling pin in an effort to dismount their friends.

Interestingly, the weapons are given to the players at random, though it isn’t clear if they give advantages or disadvantages. Similarly, the backgrounds are randomly generated, though the developer says right off that this does nothing to affect actual gameplay.

Following in the grand, revived tradition of couch multiplayer, Unfair Jousting Fair doesn’t have online multiplayer, opting instead for making sure players are within punching range of their friends/enemies that they joust with.

The game is available now for Windows PCs only, and will drain $4.99 USD from wallets interested in ridiculous jousting, though it’s currently $4.49 – ten percent off – as part of the game’s launch deal on Steam. Those interested can learn more about Rodaja and their other games from their website.
