What happens after the final boss? Roving Rogue happens.
In many adventure games, there’s nothing greater than killing the final boss.
In many adventure games, there’s nothing greater than killing the final boss. The journey taken, the enemies beaten and the damage suffered were all only to get to this point of epic triumph. But what happens next? The screen goes black and the hero goes home? Not in Roving Rogue, the new game for Wii U from Spanish studio, Padaone Games.
Roving Rogue is a 2D local multiplayer platform game in which gamers play through 42 levels of a pixelated world, in which a rogue called Kurt loses his memory after facing the castle’s boss. Now, he must leave the giant, crumbling structure with the help of his friends and teleportation. Unfortunately for him, his powers only allow short-reach teleportation, so he can’t leave the castle with it. On the other hand, walls won’t be a big obstacle for him and his friends, who can also teleport.
Lots of monsters will try to stop their escape, of course, but all characters can wield a sword and fight their way out. Cooperation is fundamental for a great escape, but there’s always the option of ruining your friend’s playthrough, just for fun.
The game will be launched July 2nd on the Wii U at a price point of $7.99. There are no intentions of releasing the game on any other platforms at the moment, but more information can be found at the game’s website.
