Indie Intros: ‘Liena’s Story’

As sad as it may be to consider, it seems that turn-based strategy games are somewhat of a dying breed. Many developers seem to believe that turn-based strategy games are too slow-paced for today’s Gamers, leading to traditionally turn-based games such as the Final Fantasy series turning to more… uh… ‘innovative’ mechanics such as the Active Dimension Battle system. Fortunately for fans of the genre, new Indie studio Evermoon is coming to the rescue with Leina’s Story.

Liena’s Story follows the story of, unsurprisingly, a girl named Liena. Princess of the entire human race (known as Kailisians), as well as a member of the elite all-female mercenary guild known as The Scepters, Liena is certainly nothing to sniff at. As with many games of this nature, our brave protagonist is soon thrust into a tale of friendship and deceit that will shake the very foundations of the world.

Evermoon is planning to release Liena’s Story for both Android and iOS devices, and it definitely seems like there’s plenty to look forward to. Evermoon is currently hard at work crafting the world of Kailis, complete with custom artwork, a full 46-song original soundtrack and a deep, engaging storyline.

Although Liena’s Story is currently well in development, there’s still quite a way to go. Evermoon are currently looking for funding over on their Kickstarter pageand, as usual, they’re offering a whole host of rewards for anyone who pledges. You can get your hands on a copy of the game when it releases by pledging a mere $1, but if you’re particularly eager to see it released, then can pledge even more to get rewards such as the chance to to name an NPC, alpha and beta access, and even concept art books.
