. Players take on the role of a Viscount, the benevolent leader of a country which is beset by grave difficulties.

Fortunately, the Viscount has a helpful companion in the form of a large black dragon. Astride the great beast, the Viscount must explore different regions – the lava-laden Volcanic Zone, the comparatively more serene Misty Forest, the deadly Red Mountain Zone, the mysterious Cave Zone, and the tropical Sea Side Zone. The enemy territories are under control of fiendish villains, and the Viscount and his dragon must conquer each area, uniting them all under his sovereignty.

Dragon fire is the biggest key to victory. The dragon’s explosive breath can take down enemies and destroy obstacles, clearing a path through the areas to be subjugated. The Viscount must gather coins and diamonds as he careens through the skies, and complete levels to earn rewards. Each zone has medals – gold, silver, and bronze – which can be earned by completing objectives. Special powers can be discovered and unlocked to help the Viscount and dragon travel with greater ease and speed. The Viscount’s string of titles grows longer with the completion of each zone, bringing him such accolades as Knighthoods and Lordships.

Dragon Rider: The Adventure Begins is available for Android players from the Google Play Store, and for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch gamers through the App Store. The iOS version is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. The Android version includes language support for German, Italian, French, and Spanish. The app is free to download and play, with optional in-app purchases ranging from $0.99 to $19.99 USD.
