OMG: TD! Celebrates Chinese New Year in the App Store

The iOS free-to-play game OMG: TD!

has received a shiny new update in celebration of Sunday’s Chinese New Year. Those familiar with the holiday will recognize new playable character Cai Shen, the Chinese deity of prosperity. In the spirit of the season, playing as Cai Shen will give players opportunities to earn extra gold with new abilities such as “Spare Change” and “Mr. Moneybags.” The update also brings a new quest with even more gold-bearing bonuses, including a 20% increase in enemy drops, as well as three challenging new levels.

OMG: TD! takes a new angle on tower defense, giving players control of Greek Gods (and now Chinese, too) to command legendary heroes and elemental powers against hordes of monsters. OMG: TD! has nearly 1.5 million players and is available now for iOS.
